Hi there. X- P I'm Stern. If you could figure that out before reading this, congrats! X- P I go by Stern, sometimes Maple, sometimes Punktestern. -shrugs- And I go by Besucher/Besu when I'm out and about.
Uh... I'm 16, German-born, but I live in California (No, not by the beach. ). I'm a high school senior and attend our local community college as well. I'm a swimmer, although this year, my last season, I won't be competing in most of our meets due to various things. I'm looking forward to entering an Animal Science program in a year, and then moving on to work for my DVM after that.
I'm currently on summer break, for a few more weeks, but when school comes back into session, I'll be interning at our animal shelter for the semester, along with school and college. So, I'll be busy as usual.
I love being outdoors, hiking, camping, backpacking, whatever there is. Like I said, I swim, butterfly and freestyle mostly, although I compete in IM as well. I do some basic photography when I can steal my dad's Nikon, or I'll use mine once in a while, although it's not as fun. X- P Nothing like a heavy camera, right? (Nikon D200 or Panasonic DMC-ZS15, come on. Although mine can do 3D.)
If you haven't guessed yet, I'm a huge fan of all kinds of animals, and I volunteer around them frequently (Animal shelter for five years and counting, therapeutic riding academy for 1 year). Luckily, I'm not actually allergic to any animals. X- P One thing on the list that I don't have.
Don't ever offer me food, though. X- P Nonononono. Bad idea. I have seven food allergies (This gets harder every time): Soy, nuts, citrus, oats, sesame, strawberry, and coconut. Eh, alright, yes? Easy to deal with? Let's add three more things, proving that my system is messed up beyond belief. Celiac disease, fructose malabsorption, and lactose intolerance aren't technically allergies, but still, they're frustrating... Especially FM. Fructose is in everything. X- P And I mean everything. So that brings in math... But anyway.
I don't really know what else to add. So, ask questions about my lifestyle, about whatever you'd like, I suppose, and I'll answer them. I'm friendly enough, and after all, teaching spreads awareness.
