Course, if someone uses their power to make a rock fall on his head, the rock's not exactly magical and'll still hurt like a sonuvagun. Height: 15.3 hh Markings: He's got a crooked, lacy, sickle-shaped blaze on his face with a patchy "milk lip" and a few "kissy spots". One eye is bright blue, and the other is spotted blue and brown. His hooves are striped with intricate sabino markings tracing their way up his legs and a smattering of jagged spots appear under his barrel. Brief Description: He's a bit rough for a purebred, a bit sleek for a mustang, with the high, arched neck of his Iberian kin, deep chest and hip of his stock forebears, and thick, lightly feathered legs and furry jaw that speak to his wild side. He's built sturdily enough that his legs look a tad short. He's got a nice, flat back with a low-set tail, and an oddly refined but long and assuredly convex head. His eyes are big, bright, and expressive, and his ears are small with a delicate turn at the ends. His coat is right in that place between grullo and brown dun, with his head shrouded in black, but his coat tapering toward gold along his barrel and flank. A strong dorsal stripe marks his back and barring marks his legs and shoulder. For all his odd assortment of parts, he does look well put-together, if in a distinctly rough-and-tumble way. It may have more to do with his bearing and unshakable self-confidence. He was a young, altruistic stallion that wanted nothing more than a better world in which the sick were healed, the weak made strong, the lonely embraced, and the downtrodden uplifted. He pursued it in a peaceful way, working with the herd leads to edge their land just a little closer to his dreams. It wasn't long into this quest that a power-hungry follower of Notus rose up from a nearby land, and after having subdued it to his rule, began looking for other lands to conquer and fashion to his own tastes. Abdiel swiftly came to his herd's defense, setting aside his peaceful ways and showing a talent as a scrapper and soldier. His herd allied with one or two neighbors and together they sought to put down this threat. Abdiel volunteered for every fight he was able, and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat through sheer stubbornness at times. As time went on though, the threatening herd grew stronger and defeat loomed. Abdiel was sure that Boreas would not allow his faithful followers to be overrun though, perhaps he would even return to save them, and so he encouraged his fellows not to surrender. In the end, though, one of the allied herds betrayed them, leaving the battlefield for safety and loot, and Abdiel watched as his fellows were struck down and scattered. He himself suffered nearly fatal wounds, but in the end, he was just too stubborn to die. So he lived on; bitter, resentful, disillusioned, and seeking any opportunity to malign the followers of Notus.
